Conquering the fear that comes with the unknown, healthcare workers in North Alabama braved the risk of a new disease and continued diligently caring for their patients despite not having a vaccine or cure. Suddenly, after more than a year of laboring without a vaccine, these healthcare workers were deemed "dangerous" because they made a choice their employer didn't agree with. These brave healthcare workers chose to decline an untested vaccine. What was the reward for these heroes? They were forced to scarf down their meals alone in the basement, treated worse than a medieval servant who at least enjoyed the company of others.
